AMRITSAR: The Bhangra team of Khalsa College, Amritsar has registered an emphatic win in the International Zonal Youth Festival organized at Guru Nanak Dev University emerging as the University champion.
College Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated the students on their outstanding accomplishment and lauded the efforts of the coach Harpreet Singh and Dholke Dharminder Singh for their hard work and dedication. He also extended words of appreciation for team in charge Prof. Davinder Singh, Prof. Deepak Devgan and Prof. Randeep Singh while urging the parents to encourage their children to take up folk dances, , to maintain a linkage between the past, present and future.
The College team stood first and College student Gurpreet Singh won the title of the best bolekar whereas Gagandeep Singh was declared the best dancer.
