G.S.Samra condemns dismissal of S.P.N.College Principsal,Mukerian

JALANDHAR: Gurpinder Singh Samra, President Principals Association, Guru Nanak Dev University held a meeting in the campus of Khalsa and condemned the dismissal of the services of the Principal of S.P.N. College Mukerian, Dr. Kawaljit Kaur. He further added that such art is the disgrace for the stature of a principal and violation of human rights.

It was unanimously decided to pressurize the management of S.P.N. College to rethink on thein decision. The association further requested the chief Minister S. Amrinder Singh and Education minister Smt. Aruna Chaudhary to intervene and settle the matter. It was further requested to the ministers to take necessary action against the management so that such incidents don’t happen in future.

Dr. Kawaljit Kaur who is now feeling herself on the road has worked for 20 years in, Jalandhar. In 2014, She got the job of Principal in S.D.P.College for women Ludhiana where she worked for 13 months on full salary. In 2015 she joined S.P.N. college Mukeria as Principal. After joining she got shocked when full salary was denied to her by the management as well as the DPI as per some Punjab Govt. Notification. As per Dr. Kawaljit Kaur this notification is for new entrants and not for the Principals as to become a Principal you need to have 15 years experience so this post can’t be considered as new one.

Now when her two years probation period was near to completion and she was expecting full salary. She has been kicked out by the management. Dr. Kawaljit Kaur as requested the vice chancellor, Punjab University Sh. Arun Grover to intervene and get her justice.
