Coveted honour for Rayat-Bahra University's Vice-Chancellor Dr Raj Singh

MOHALI: Dr Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat-Bahra University, has been awarded for Exemplary Academic Leadership by the Federation of World Academics (FWA).
The award was presented by Business World and the Education Post at the FWA National Conclave-2017. The rigorous selection process included nomination and recommendation from the Board of Trustees and the Governing Council of Awards.

A renowned educationist of international repute, Dr Singh has earlier been the Vice Chancellor of well known Universities like GD Goenka University, Gurgaon; Ansal University, Gurgaon; Amity University, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh); and Amity University, Jaipur. He also headed the prestigious Amity Business School, Noida, and ICFAI Business School (IBS), New Delhi, since its inception in 1995.

Dr Singh, who specialises in Finance and Economics, is an astute academic administer and a charismatic leader which has endeared him to students and teacher communities alike. He has built institutions and universities of repute during his illustrious career spanning more than 35 years. A strong proponent of flexible and inter-disciplinary education, Dr Singh has been a visiting professor at IIT Delhi, and the Delhi School of Economics.
