2nd Inter-Khalsa Schools’ Cultural Fest-2017 held at KCPS

AMRITSAR: The host Khalsa College Public School (KCPS) emerged champion during the 2nd Inter-Khalsa Cultural Festival-2017 by winning most of the events in individual and solo performances. Chief Guest, IG. Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh opened the festival while Khalsa College Governing Council honorary secretary, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina distributed the awards on the closing ceremony here today.

Khalsa College Sen. Sec. School (Boys) remained the runner up. Kunwar and Chhina in the respective address to the students emphasized that the students must go abroad for visits and for higher studies but they must return to the homeland to serve the country.

Chhina said that such competitions take out the hidden qualities of the students and provide them a befitting platform to perform. He said that the aim of Governing Council is to provide students the quality education to achieve their ultimate goal in life and also to encourage them for the extra-curricular activities.

 All the schools under Khalsa College Management including Khalsa College Sen. Sec. School (Boys), Khalsa College Public School, Heir, Khalsa College Girls Sen. Sec. and Khalsa College International Public School, Ranjit Avenue, participated in this fest with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The participants competed for various competitions including Shabad recitation, Folk Dance, Folk Songs, Bhangra, Gidda, Poetry, Declamation contests iation of all the spectators there. Khalsa College Girls Sen. Sec. School finished 3rd. Noted theatre proponent Jatinder Brar was present. Principal Amarjit Singh Gill earlier welcomed the guests and asked them to imbibe in the students the spirit of self-confidence.

The Joint Secretary, SS Abdal, Member Gurmohinder Singh, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Dr. SKaur Mahal, Principal JS Dhillon, Principal S. Nirmal Singh Bhangu, Principal Tajinder Kaur Bindra and the staff members of other schools were present on this occasion.
